The m3 is a high-performance version of the base 3-series, developed by bmw's in-house motorsport division. They have been in constant production since 1985 first using the e30 platform. The e36 featured here is the 2nd generation m3 and debuted in 1992. They were built and designed an all new straight-6 engine which produced 280 hp. They were initially designed as a coupe only but then later were offered up as a convertible and saloon. Initially available as a coupé only, bmw introduced m3 convertible and saloon versions in 1994, the absence of any m5 models in the bmw line-up between the end of e34 m5 production in 1995 and the launch of the e39 m5 in 1998 prompted the introduction of the 4-door motorsport model. Enthusiasts all over the world know and respect this car and its capabilities. This very well kept m3 comes in a brilliant bright red with the recognizable m3 logos. The m3 holds a pretty significant title as the only automobile to hold more titles in motorsports history than the famed porsche 911. The m3 was developed by bmw’s in house motorsports division and began life in 1985. They were built as an alternative to the standard road vehicles being sold. They were given more powerful and responsive engines, improved handling/suspension/braking systems and a lighter weight more aerodynamic shell. The third generation of m3’s were built from 2000 through 2006 as the e46 platform and were available in coupe, convertible and saloon variants. They came with the 333 hp 3. 2 liter 6-cylinder and had a top speed of nearly 170 mph with out governor. These fantastic automobiles are truly built with driving in mind. They are fast, comfortable and look excellent. The top is in good condition and operates flawlessly. The interior is good with average wear. This is a ton of car for the money and is a blast to drive. It has a clean carfax and is ready to go.
