The MG A design dates back to 1951, when head designer Syd Enever created a body for the Le Mans race car. After many re-designs due to some problem areas like seating position and suspension the A was built and went in to civilian production. It was a body on frame design that used a independent coil springs with wishbone front suspension and a rigid rear axle and a rack and pinion steering. The drivetrain was a take-away from the earlier saloon and was a 1489 cc engine that originally only put out 68 HP but was later upgraded to a staggering 72HP. Total production numbers for the seven year run was almost 60,000 units. The top is in good condition and so are the seats. The red paint shows wear as does some of the other cosmetics.

Produced from 1965 thru 1980, but imports into the usa halted in 1974 and less than 4,000 were believed to be built in total. The classic look was designed by the italian renowned pinifarina and was praised for the greenhouse type feel in the cabin that was much more spacious and user friendly compared to the previous coupe designs of mg. The miles on the car are believed to be accurate as well. Quality and originality was the focus as well as using proper components whenever possible but also doing the best to make the car a very enjoyable driver when behind the wheel. This gt was delivered new out of fred deeley motors in vancouver in 1971 and was then traded back into the mercedes dealer in vancouver where it was sold to mr. & mrs. This car was driven and enjoyed for the next 12 years in 1995 he removed the car and stored it for the next 9 years. In december of 2004 one of the most impressive and costly restoration began on this car to restore it to its glory. This car was stripped down to bare metal and completely disassembled from top to bottom to give this project a true fresh start. All new fenders, door skins, floors, rocker panels and sheet metal are new and the bodywork alone took over 21 months to complete. While this body work was being done the engine, suspension, transmission and electrical system was being rebuilt, and modified to get ready to install into the new restoration. The interior is brand new with new seats, dash, carpet, and headliner. The gauges are working properly, heat works nicely and the lights are functioning. The bright work and chrome is exceptional and the extras that come with the car are very impressive. The list is very long and the stack of receipts is very impressive on this restoration. Just about everything on this vehicle is new or restored to a very high standard. Vehicle comes with brag book of pictures of the restoration, thick file of receipts and service work, original owner’s manual, log book from previous customer, and some additional odds and ends for parts. This is a show winning car that deserves to be flaunted in the collector car world and will only see significant upswing in value and demand as the year’s progress. There is nothing wrong with paying up for fantastic car that shows no excuses.

Replacing the mga in 1962, production of the mgb and its variants continued until 1980, achieving sales for the mgb, mgc and mgb gt v8 combined a total of 523,836 cars. The mgb bodyshell was reprised in modified form with a limited run of 2,000 mg rv8 roadsters (1993–95). The sales brochure from 1972 describes the mg b as follows: “from any angle, is a classically conceived sports car. And the reason is simple. It is, in essence, the very definition of what a sports car should be. In the always popular british racing green that is recognizable for mg’s and remains in great shape, with all of the exterior chrome including the bumpers, and accent pieces, as well as the black vinyl top and removable hardtop. The interior was restored to keep originality intact with just an am/fm and cassette radio added for convenience. The seats in a like new black vinyl and the dash with fully functioning gauges and instrument panel including speedometer with trip odometer, electric tachometer, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel gauge.
