The MG A design dates back to 1951, when head designer Syd Enever created a body for the Le Mans race car. After many re-designs due to some problem areas like seating position and suspension the A was built and went in to civilian production. It was a body on frame design that used a independent coil springs with wishbone front suspension and a rigid rear axle and a rack and pinion steering. The drivetrain was a take-away from the earlier saloon and was a 1489 cc engine that originally only put out 68 HP but was later upgraded to a staggering 72HP. Total production numbers for the seven year run was almost 60,000 units. The top is in good condition and so are the seats. The red paint shows wear as does some of the other cosmetics.

10,001 TC’s were produced from 1945 through 1949. The engine was a carry over from the TB with slightly higher compression churning out a staggering 54 HP making for a 22.7 0-60 time. However, fuel consumption was great at 28 MPG. It was exported to the US, even though at that time only Right Hand models were built. The US version also featured slightly smaller sealed-beam headlights with larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. It comes with a stack of service history and receipts dating back to 1988. It has been mechanically taken care of to be driven and enjoyed. The paint is showing signs of wear, as is the convertible top. The interior is in ok condition with everything in operational order. The car starts right up and drives down the road as it should. All lights are in working order as well. It is a great candidate for a restoration as it is complete. The side-curtains are in the rear storage area and also comes with the tonneau.

This excellent example has been restored with driveability and safety in mind. The cars original steel wheels were replaced with knock off wires wrapped in 4 new tires. For cooling a external oil cooler was added along with electronic ignition. The generator was replaced with an alternator from a MGB and the front end is MGB along with Disc Brakes. All new suspension parts and bushings at that time as well. The radiator has been replaced and new Radio has been added.

Proud to offer this stunning mgb gt that has been recently restored with many new components as well as fresh paint, interior, engine rebuild and transmission. This car received the careful attention of its previous owner as he meticulously took this car from a driver to a very nice show car condition. Started with a nice example to start the car was stripped and repainted in factory color along with engine and transmission removal to rebuild and have the engine bay detailed and cleaned properly. The engine bay was done to perfection and shows extremely well. The transmission was rebuilt with all new synchromesh and the gears shift with ease through all gears. It fires up with ease and has a battery shutoff behind passenger seat. The interior was freshened up with new leather seats, door panels, headliner and seatbelts. New carpet kit for cabin and rear trunk is also new. The chrome on the outside is in fabulous condition and all other trim work shows nicely. Grill badges on front give the car some class and the wire wheels really make the car stand out. Fender mounted mirrors are setup nicely and placed properly. The smith gauges were replaced with speedhut speedo and tach and function correctly. The original smith gauges are included with the sale and according to previous owner do not work properly. Vehicle comes with spare tire, smith gauges, jack, manuals, some receipts and an appetite to win car shows and being enjoyed by the next owner.
